STUDENTS WORK ON ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION According to Boban Džunić, Palilula Municipality appointed the jury who will judge the submitted works in accordance with professional standards in implementing the project in Serbia. The most successful participants in the contest will be notified of the decision of the jury at the end of June. Their works will be presented later this year at an exhibition in Nis and Ihtiman (Bulgaria) and promoted to project publications and in the media. Under the rules of the competition jury decisions are final and not subject to appeal. This is the second activity of one of the "LIVING GREEN" which Palilula Municipality-Nis realized with the support of EU IPA funds in the cross-border program Bulgaria-Serbia, in partnership with the Bulgarian Municipality Ihtiman. Project "LIVING GREEN " aims to build capacity for environmental protection, promotion of cooperation at the local level on key issues of common interest to strengthen territorial cohesion, competitiveness and sustainability in the border region, says president of Municipality Boban Džunić, to raise awareness on issues related to the environment, biodiversity conservation, environmentally sound behavior, energy saving and renewable energy, and climate change. The project is expected to encourage cooperation and networking in the field of environmental protection and energy efficiency policies in education and business level as well as introducing new forms of interactive modules, and best practices for joint capacity building in the field of environmental protection."
